“Within 100 miles of America’s southern border, there are 140 interior checkpoints where, for decades, agents have stopped residents to question their immigration status. Las Cruces, New Mexico is 45 miles from the border and people are tired of living in fear and constant surveillance. Still, President Trump and politicians in Washington continue to call for enhanced security.”
